Privacy notice
What we collect when you use this website or contact us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Version of 6 November 2026.
Who is responsible
Volans Aquilae is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at info@volansaquilae.com.
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR requires us to appoint a representative under Article 27, we’ll name them here, and you’ll be able to contact them instead of us.
What we collect, why, and on what basis
| What | Why | Legal basis | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you type into the contact form: name, work email, company, your message, whether you want a call or a test case, and the optional “where did you hear about us” answer. If you send a conversation, we ask you to remove anything that identifies a person first. | To reply to you and arrange a call | Steps you ask for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)) | 24 months after our last contact if no work follows |
| Emails you send us | To reply, and to keep a record of what was agreed | As above | As above, or for the life of a contract and the period accounting law requires after it |
| Contracts, invoices and the contact details of the people we work with | To do the work and get paid | Performing a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) | For the period accounting and tax law requires |
| Technical logs kept by our web host: IP address, browser, the page requested and the time | To keep the site running and secure | Our legitimate interest in security (Article 6(1)(f)) | For as long as our web host keeps access logs |
| Only if you accept analytics cookies: the pages you view, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and your approximate location, recorded by Google Analytics under a random ID kept in a cookie. Google says Google Analytics doesn’t store IP addresses. | To see which pages are read and how people find the site | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time | 2 months in Google Analytics, then only as aggregate counts |
We don’t buy data about you, we don’t send marketing emails, and we make no decisions about you by automated means alone. You don’t have to give us any personal data, but we can’t reply to an enquiry without an email address.
Cookies
This website sets cookies only if you accept Google Analytics. Google Analytics then sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_2BH2CPR92N, which tell one visit from another and expire after 2 years. If you decline, it sets none. We keep your choice in your browser’s local storage for six months, so the question doesn’t come back on every page. Change it at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
Fonts and the video are served from our own domain, and the video loads only when you press play.
Who else handles it
- Namecheap: hosts this website and its access logs, our email, including contact-form messages, and the trace exports clients choose to send us.
- Google, through Google Analytics: counts page views, only if you accept analytics cookies. Data location: Google’s servers, including in the United States.
Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement. We don’t sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Where it goes
We are in Thailand. When you contact us, your message comes to us in Thailand. Thailand has no adequacy decision from the European Commission and isn’t covered by UK adequacy regulations, so where one of our service providers moves personal data from the EU or the UK, we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. Ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics data goes to Google, including to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, which the European Commission and the UK government recognise for these transfers.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act gives similar rights. Email info@volansaquilae.com and we reply within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, tell us first by email or through the contact form. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days and answer them without undue delay. In the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. In the EU, to the data protection authority where you live or work (list of authorities). In Thailand, to the Personal Data Protection Committee.
Children
This website and our services are for businesses. They aren’t aimed at anyone under 18.
