Forward deployed engineers who work under your brand
When customer go-lives are waiting, our engineers join your deployment team, in your customer’s working hours. They connect your agent to each customer’s systems, run evals on the customer’s own data and assemble the evidence for their security review. USD 12,000 per engineer per month.
Evidence for one customer’s security review
- 1Data flows and scopesEvery connection to the customer’s systems, the credential it uses and what it can reach
- 2Evals on their dataPass rates per failure class on the customer’s own conversations, before and after go-live
- 3Questionnaire answersTheir security questionnaire, answered in writing with the evidence attached
- 4RunbookHow to switch the agent off, roll back and reach a person, tested in their environment
What the engineers do
- Connect your agent to the customer’s CRM, ticketing, billing and identity systems.
- Build and run evals on each customer’s data before go-live, and again after.
- Answer the customer’s security questionnaire with evidence such as scopes, data flows and test results.
- Run the go-live in the customer’s own hours, and watch the first weeks of production traces.
- Hand everything back, with code in your repositories and runbooks in your documentation.
Hire forward deployed engineers (FDEs) by the month
The work is what a forward deployed engineer does. That means production code inside a customer’s environment, for one customer at a time. The difference is the contract. It runs monthly and can end at any month end, there’s no search and no recruiter fee, and you approve each engineer by name before they start.
What the alternatives cost
| Option | Cost | Before work starts |
|---|---|---|
| Hire a forward deployed engineer in the US | About USD 27,400 a month in the first year and USD 23,700 after, fully loaded. That starts from a median total compensation of USD 220,000 a year (Levels.fyi, 159 salary submissions, 19 October 2026) and adds employer benefits and payroll taxes, management time and, in the first year, a recruiter’s fee of 25% of base salary (Paraform, a recruiting marketplace). | A search of 8 to 12 weeks (Paraform) |
| Senior engineer from a talent network | “Roughly $25,000 per month for a senior builder, fully loaded”, billed monthly with no placement fee (A.Team) | Named, priced profiles in three to five business days (A.Team) |
| Volans Aquilae | USD 12,000 per engineer per month, all-in, minimum one month | You approve each engineer by name before the first month starts |
Every row is a monthly cost to you. For a hire that’s the fully loaded cost, and for A.Team and for us it’s the all-in price. Figures from the linked pages, read on 19 October 2026. Our forward deployed engineer cost guide shows the arithmetic, the assumptions and the UK figures.
How white-label works
- Your name, your process
Engineers use your email domain, your chat, your ticket system and your engineering standards. Your customer sees your company. Where your contract with a customer requires you to list subcontractors or sub-processors, we give you the wording to disclose us.
- Named people
You approve each engineer by name before they start. They stay on your account unless you ask for a change.
- Your customers stay yours
The contract includes a non-solicitation clause, so we don’t contract with your customers directly while we work for you, or for 12 months after.
- Everything is handed back
In a release of 29 September 2026, Gartner predicted that by 2028, 70% of enterprises will abandon agentic AI built by vendor forward-deployed engineering, “trapped by soaring costs and unable to evolve it on their own” (Gartner). That’s a warning about the model we sell, so here is our answer to it. All code and documents are assigned to you, every engagement ends with a handover your customer can run without us, and the contract covers deliverables, knowledge transfer, intellectual property rights, and transition or exit, the four things Gartner tells buyers to write in.
Your customers’ hours
Our engineers work in shifts around the clock. Each engineer works your customer’s hours, not ours, so a New York go-live gets New York hours. When a go-live needs cover beyond one person’s working day, a second engineer takes the next shift, at the same rate as the first.

If the agent isn’t ready yet
Start with a production readiness review on one customer deployment. The verdict tells you, and your customer, what has to change before go-live.
